Tazza Cafe

Right along Winston St. is a quaint little cafe called Tazza. I heard good things and have some of my colleagues recommend the place so we decided to check it out.

Since it’s a lazy Sunday morning, we decided to try their breakfast sets. Breakfast sets are P200 and comes with a choice of coffee, tea or juice. The set includes 2 eggs, a cup of rice and a side salad. See pictures below.

I ordered the Single Pork Chop.

The chop is okay. It’s top with pesto butter. Frankly, it could have used more of it. Was it bad? No. Was it extraordinary? Remotely but it was enough to satisfy my morning hunger.

Pesky Panda ordered the Hungarian Sausage set. It was your run of the mill hungarian sausage. So again, nothing fancy.

For dessert, we shared the Yema Cake. And it is to die for. It is a white yema cake on a layer of rich chocolate cake topped with yema or caramel swirls. Heaven.

Is Tazza the ultimate breakfast place? I doubt it. But definitely would come back. Why? The place has a lot more to offer aside from their breakfast menu. They have pasta and main dishes like Beef Stroganoff. I would definitely be back to try them.

For this visit and particularly their breakfast menu, Tazza gets a 3.5 out of 5.

Tazza Cafe is located along Wilson St., Lahug, Cebu City. Just across Pino Plaza.
