St. Mary’s Cathedral, Sydney Australia

“St Mary’s has the greatest length of any church in Australia (although it is neither the tallest nor the largest overall). It is located on College Street in the heart of the City of Sydney where, despite the high rise development of the Sydney central business district (CBD), its imposing structure and twin spires make it a landmark from every direction. In 2008, St Mary’s Cathedral became the focus of World Youth Day 2008 and was visited by Pope Benedict XVI.”

One of the must-visit sites in Sydney is the St Mary’s Cathedral if you are into architecture. Even if you are not religious, you can definitely see how man tries to emulate God by how he creates things to depict the grand scale of things.

You better download a DIY walking tour of a place to best explore and appreciate the location, lazy pandas don’t like to walk unless there are a lot of food stops lol.

Too bad they don’t allow taking pictures inside the church, so i just contented myself with going inside to offer a quick prayer of thanks and to get away from the sizzling heat outside.
